Body/Land is a conceptual exploration of the malleability of the minimal landscape photograph in the context of female embodiment. I turned the camera on myself to bridge the gap between the cerebral self and the material earth. There is an interesting continuum that links internal and external perceptions of space; the mountains in the distance perform the same gestures as the peaks on my skin and the hills of thought in my mind.
